1. Agreement

By installing or using the Loqalit Chrome Extension ("Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

These Terms apply to all users, including guests (unauthenticated users) and registered users.

2. Description of Service

Loqalit is a localization quality assurance tool that:

• Scans web pages locally in your browser to extract and analyze translatable text

• Performs client-side quality checks (placeholder validation, locale-specific formatting, consistency)

• Provides interactive highlighting of text elements on web pages

• Offers optional AI-powered translation quality analysis via a cloud backend

3. User Accounts and Access

3.1 Guest Access

You may use basic scanning and local analysis features without an account. Guest AI analysis is available on a limited basis (subject to per-device quotas set at our discretion).

3.2 Registered Accounts

To access the full AI analysis feature, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information

• Keep your credentials secure

• Not share your account with others

3.3 Beta Access

AI-powered analysis is currently in beta. Beta features are provided as-is, may change without notice, and may be discontinued at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension

• Circumvent usage quotas, rate limits, or access controls

• Use the Extension to scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect content from websites

• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Extension or its output

• Interfere with or disrupt the backend services

• Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity

• Use automated tools to interact with the Extension beyond normal usage

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

The Extension, its source code, design, and documentation are the property of Loqalit. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you analyze using the Extension. By using the AI analysis feature, you grant Loqalit a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of returning analysis results.

5.3 AI Output

AI analysis results are provided for informational purposes. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any suggestions before acting on them.

6. Usage Quotas and Limits

• Registered users receive a set number of AI analysis requests per quota period (lifetime, monthly, or yearly depending on your plan)

• Guest users receive a limited number of AI analyses per device

• Quotas are set and may be adjusted at our discretion

• Unused quota does not carry over between periods (for periodic plans)

7. Fees and Payment

Loqalit offers a free tier with a limited analysis allowance, plus paid subscription plans (currently Pro, Max, and Team, with optional additional Team seats) with larger quotas and additional workspace features. Current pricing is shown at checkout in the dashboard.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. When you purchase a subscription, your payment details are collected and processed by Dodo Payments on its hosted checkout page — Loqalit never receives or stores your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from the billing portal, and access continues until the end of the paid period. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location.

We may change plan pricing or entitlements; existing subscribers will be notified in advance of any price change affecting their renewal.

8. AI Analysis and Third-Party Services

8.1 AI Processing

When you use AI analysis, extracted page content is sent to our backend (hosted on Convex) and processed using Google Gemini. By using this feature, you acknowledge that your content will be transmitted to and processed by these third-party services.

8.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

AI analysis results are generated by machine learning models and may contain errors, false positives, or inaccurate suggestions. Loqalit does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated output. You should not rely solely on AI analysis for critical translation or localization decisions.

8.3 Optional Crowdin Integration

The Extension includes an optional integration with Crowdin that you may configure with your own Crowdin Personal Access Token. The token is stored locally in your browser and used to act on your behalf against your own Crowdin project. When you explicitly push a finding, the Extension sends finding text, the page URL/title, an excerpt of rendered page text, and (optionally) page screenshots directly to your Crowdin project. You are responsible for your Crowdin account, for the content you push, and for complying with Crowdin's terms. Loqalit does not receive or store your Crowdin token or pushed content.

8.4 Third-Party Terms

Your use of the Extension is also subject to the terms and policies of our service providers and of the optional integrations you configure:

9. Privacy

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.loqalit.com/privacy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Disclaimers

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure

• Results will be accurate or reliable

• The Extension will be compatible with all websites or browser configurations

• Defects will be corrected in any particular timeframe

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOQALIT AND ITS TEAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Extension shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. You may delete your account by contacting us.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Extension ceases immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Extension or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Loqalit regarding the Extension.
